Owner/CEO/President

Arlena Acree

Arlena Acree, owner of the company, was inspired to open this particular type of business in 1985, not only because of her previous experience or working at an employment agency, but more importantly, because of the thorough personal satisfaction she received from “helping people help themselves.” Her hard work and ethics has given Career Adventures the exceptional reputation that it has today. Arlena Acree currently serves as Director of Film, Media, and Entertainment for the City of Shreveport, a position to which she was appointed by Mayor Cedric B. Glover in 2006. In 1998, she was appointed by Mayor Keith Hightower as Director of Economic Development. She has served on a number of boards and commissions.

Randy Miller

Arlena and Jerry Acree appointed Randy to run Career Adventures in 2000. His background in Human Resources and passion for customer service has elevated Career Adventures to one of Northwest Louisiana’s top competitors in the staffing industry today. Randy coined the popular advertising slogan “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs” in 2001. He is a member of the following committees: American Staffing Association, Shreveport/Bossier Executives Association, South Shreveport Business Association, and Society of Human Resource Manager for Shreveport/Bossier.

April Acree Heaberlin

April started her career at Career Adventures in 2007, but has worked part-time while attending school for several years prior. She graduated from LSUS with her BA in Business Marketing in 2007. She started off in Clerical staffing, but now she wears many hats. Her duties include: marketing, advertising, social media management, sales, and is the full-time National Recruiter for the Professional division. She is a member of the American Staffing Association, SMEI Shreveport/Bossier, Society of Human Resource Manager for Shreveport/Bossier, South Shreveport Business Association.

A. Yes. Any clients that are not satisfied with an applicant we provide, may notify career Adventures in the first four hours of the assignment and the employee will be replaced free of charge.
