President

Randy Miller

Randy Miller serves as President of Career Adventures, after being recruited by Arlena and Jerry Acree in 2000. With a background in Human Resources and a strong passion for sales and business development, Randy has helped develop Career Adventures into one of Northwest Louisiana’s leading competitors in the staffing industry.

He is actively involved in the local business community and has served as past President of the Shreveport/Bossier Executives Association. He is also a member of the North Shreveport Business Association and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Shreveport/Bossier chapter.

Randy specializes in start-up development and works closely with client companies to strengthen their HR functions and reduce employee turnover. Drawing on his previous manufacturing experience, he partners with organizations to improve workplace safety, audit processes, and implement strategies that minimize on-the-job injuries. His hands-on approach and leadership in safety programs have made him a trusted advisor to many of his clients.

Vice President

April Acree Heaberlin

April Heaberlin is a dedicated business professional, ministry leader, and community advocate based in Shreveport, Louisiana. She began her career with Career Adventures in 2007 after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing from Louisiana State University in Shreveport (LSUS).

Over the years, April has grown into a multifaceted leader within the organization and now serves as Vice President. Her expertise includes marketing, employee management, culture development, social media strategy, and sales, all of which contribute to the company’s continued growth and success.

In addition to her professional work, April is actively involved in her community through ministries such as Embrace Grace, Purchased Not For Sale, St. Jude Miracles on the Red, and Volunteers of America.

She is also the founder of Take Heart Ministries, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting pediatric oncology patients and their families. Her passion for serving others is especially evident through her advocacy and ongoing support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
